The Rev. W. Forest Weddle, 77, died at 7:50 a.m. Friday in Lutheran Hospital.
The Rev. Weddle was a native of East Chicago, and was a pastor of Eastwood Chapel since 1946. He was ordained in 1934 and received his Ph.D. from Indiana University in 1965. The Rev. Weddle was a professor of archeology at Fort Wayne Bible College since 1952, where he also was director of research and guidance from 1959 to 1976.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma G.; two daughters, Joann E., and Alice Joy, both of Fort Wayne; and a sister, Alma Farnham, of Fort Wayne.
Services at 2 p.m. Monday in Founder's Hall, Fort Wayne Bible College, with calling from one hour before services. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Klaehn's Chalfant-Perry Chapel, 2423 Fairfield Ave. Burial in Williamsport Cemetery, Poe.
