Mt. Vernon - James Thomas Cox, 82, Mt. Vernon, died at 3:10 AM today in a Mt. Vernon nursing home after a long illness. Born in Branson, he had lived in the Mt. vernon community since 1942. A retired contractor, he was a member of the Mt. Vernon First Christian Church. Surving are his wife, Jessie; a son, Dallas, Route 3, Mt. Vernon; two sisters, Mrs Pansy Bennett, Stratford, CT and Mrs. Mamie McFarland, Galt, CA, a brother E.E. Cox, Sacramento, CA; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Max L. Fossett will announce arrangements.
