Henry Van Etten, 75, died Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Friday at Lakewood Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Van Etten served in the US Navy. Before retirement, he worked in construction. In his spare time, he loved to fish, hunt and read. Most importantly, he loved his grandkids. He was a Methodist.
Mr. Van Etten is survived by his wife, Janie Van Etten of Jackson; his son, John David Van Etten and wife, Susan, of Hazlehurst; his daughter, Angie McCrillis and husband, Joe of Terry; sisters, Dorothy Heggins, Gaye Smith, and Lynn Knight; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
