Mrs. Hudson, born in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Cleveland Challie and Sabra Jane Holland and the widow of Sampson M. Hudson., Sr. She was a member of Turkey Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was a former employee of the Hamilton Beach Co. and the Country Squire. She was a happy and loving mother and grandmother with a cheerful disposition and a great sense of humor. She worked hard all her life with no complaints or needs. She was a great cook and a very giving person.
She is survived by two daughters, Jewell Cannady and husband Roy of Roseboro, Peggy Pollock and husband Ken of Clinton, one son, Sampson Hudson, Jr. and wife Janet of Tryon, five grandchildren whom she loved so much, Scott Cannady, Les Spell, Kelly Cannady, Norma Spell and Lewis Hudson; two great grandchildren, Carlon Cannady and Amelia Spell and her very special companion, her dog, "Little Bit".
The family recieved friends one hour prior the funeral services at the funeral home.
The funeral services were held at 3pm, Monday, January 19, 2009 at the Royal Hall Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton with the Rev. Danny Johnson officiating.
Burial was made in the Hudson Family Cemetery.
