Ronnie S. Paxton, age 63, of Summit, Arkansas passed away Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Ronnie was born March 2, 1951 in Gassville, Arkansas to the late Francis L. and Mary Lou (Wood) Paxton. He was a mechanic, and United States Marine Corps veteran of Vietnam. Ronnie was a lifetime resident of the area and was a member of Lakeway Community Church.

He is survived by two sons: Ronnie Eugene Vickers and his wife, Rachael; and Jacob Andrew Paxton, all of Summit, Arkansas; five brothers: Francis “Tom” Paxton of Jay, Oklahoma; Robert “Bo” Paxton of Naches, Washington; Donnie Paxton of Summit, Arkansas; Jimmy Paxton of Berryville, Arkansas; and James Paxton of Seattle, Washington; two grandsons: Christopher Vickers of Kingsbay, Georgia; Anthony Vickers of Summit, Arkansas; one granddaughter, Whitney Vickers of Summit, Arkansas; one great-granddaughter, Brailey Burns of Bull Shoals, Arkansas; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Connie Sue “Suzzy” Hodnett; a brother-in-law, David Hodnett; and his grandparents.

A graveside service will be held for Ronnie Paxton 2:00 pm Monday, April 21, 2014 at Lee’s Mountain Cemetery with Bro. William Woods and Bro. Dave Adkins officiating.
