Helen married the love of her life, William Donald Anderson, on November 11, 1945 in Union County, Georgia. She was 17 years old at the time. They had a wonderful, loving life together until Donald's death, November 26, 2012.
Helen is survived by one son, William Donald Anderson, Jr. and his wife, Joyce, of Tryon, NC; one grandson, Andrew Anderson of Hendersonville, NC; one special nephew, Willis Glenn Anderson of Asheville and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a very special niece, Gail Anderson of Andrews, NC.
Helen enjoyed and had a great passion for crafts, painting and needlework. She worked as a cosmetologist for several years at the Salon of Hair Styling in Asheville where she developed many long lasting friendships, which she cherished until her death. Helen was a member of the Naples Baptist Church in Naples, NC.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian.
