Services for Mr. John Warren Lott of 2521 N. Waverly Dr., Bossier City, will be held at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13th at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Bossier Chapel. Burial will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Rorie, Former Pastor of United Methodist Church in Bossier, assisted by James Adams, Present Pastor will officiate.
Mr. Lott died Tues., Oct. 11, 1982 in Bossier Medical Center.
Born in Clarendon, Texas, July 29, 1910, Mr. Lott had lived in Louisiana since 1935. He was founder of Shreveport Livestock Commission Co. in the early 1940's and was owner of Tri-State Tractor Co. for 35 years. He was a cattleman and former owner of Arkla-Tex Trailer Co. He was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Bossier City serving as a trustee. He was also active on the finance committee and head of Board of Ushers for several years. He was a member of Palmetto Country Club and was active in the Farm Bureau and Bossier-Caddo Cattlemen Association.
He is survived by his wife Maurine Wood Lott; two sons Larry Lott, Elm Grove; Richard Lott, Houston, Texas; one sister Mrs. Phillip Davis Shreveport; one brother Judge William S. Lott Georgetown, Texas; and seven grandchildren, Tommy Lott, Kenneth Lott and Kevin Lott, all of Elm Grove, Larry Lott, Jr. of Bossier, Michelle Lott, Johnny Lott and Kathryn Lott, all of Houston; three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be William Conlan, William James, John Neal, John Pace, Curtis Baker and George Cooper.
