Mrs. Schroeder was born in Pommern, Germany, Aug. 21, 1860, and had she lived until Friday would have been 78 years old.
When she was 7 years old she came to America. She was married to August Schroeder, Nov. 1882. Her husband passed away Nov. 4, 1916.
Mrs. Schroeder was a member of Trinity Lutheran church and of the Ladies Aid society.
Survivors are three sons, Frank, Herbert and Walter Schroeder, of Oshkosh; and four daughters, Mrs. Lydia Strey, Mrs. Clara Lemke, and Mrs. Meta DeVoe of Oshkosh; and Mrs. Ella Wentzlaff of Fond du Lac. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and two brothers, Gustav and Frank Behling, of Oshkosh.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home and at 2:30 o'clock at Bethlehem Lutheran church on the corner of New York and Oakland avenues, because Trinity Lutheran church of which Mrs. Schroeder was a member Is being decorated. The Rev. J. E. Elbert will be the officiating clergyman. Burial will be at Riverside cemetery. Friends may view the remains at the home from Wednesday afternoon until the time of the services. The casket will not be opened in church.
