Rev. Bobby William Jenkins, Sr., 77, passed away Monday, April 20, 2020 at Pruitt Healthcare and Rehab. Mr. Jenkins was born December 6, 1942 in Surry County to John William and Gladys Whitaker Jenkins. He served as a pastor for many years, lastly at Christian Outreach Assembly. Mr. Jenkins loved tools, made knives, and had many hobbies.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by eight half siblings and two brothers, Richard and Everette Jenkins. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty Lou Marshall Jenkins; four children, Bobby (Diane) Jenkins, Robin Denise Jenkins, John William Jenkins, and WA (Bridget) Jenkins; grandchildren, Aaron, Ashton, Kylie, and Kendall Jenkins, Amy, Andrew, and Caden Sabas; and brothers, Frank Jenkins, Danny (Judy) Jenkins, Donnie (Jennie) Jenkins, and Bernie (Vanessa) Jenkins.

Due to government restrictions, a private graveside service will be held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church cemetery. Mr. Jenkins will be available for viewing Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville from 8:00AM to 5:00PM.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Shelburne and his staff for the wonderful care given to Mr. Jenkins.
