Mr. Scott died May 7, 2000, at Dogwood Trails Manor in Woodville.

Mr. Scott was born May 5, 1937, in Port Arthur, Texas where he lived for 35 years. He lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for 25 years before moving to Woodville three years ago. He was a retired Seaman and Businessman.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Scott of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; daughter, Chatrist Scott of Denham Springs, Louisiana; granddaughter, Samatha Scott of Denham Springs, Louisiana; sister, Ava Vincent of Georgetown, Grand Caymon; brother, Capt. Millard A. Scott of Beaumont, A.L. Scott of Town Bluff, and James Scott of Port Arthur; nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers were Sean A. Scott, Harold Broussard, Randall Warner, Shane Adair, Jeremy Gray, A.L. Scott, John M. Ball, James A. Mowlam, III and Heath Scott.

Services were under the direction of Riley Funeral Home of Tyler County.
