Services for George L. Lytle, 70, formerly of Asheville, who died Thursday at a Hollywood, FL hospital, will be held at 2pm Tuesday at Groce Funeral Home.
The Rev. Austell Youmans will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne, Jerry, Douglas and Ernest Lytle, Tommy Cordell and Lewis Boyd Jr.
A native of Buncombe County, he had lived in Florida since 1956. He was a former employee of America Enka Company for 23 years.
Surviving are three sons, Earl Lytle of Arden, Bruce Lytle of Eugene OR, and Paul Lytle of Orlando, FL; a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Coward of Atlanta, GA; three brothers, Robert, C. B., and Fred Lytle of Fairview; four sisters, Mrs. Josie Chilton of Mt. Airy, Mrs. Hattie Staton of Hendersonville, and Mrs. Sue Lizzie Boyd and Mrs. Tom Cordell of Asheville; and 12 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9pm Monday at Groce Funeral Home.
