Agnes graduated from El Campo High School in 1961 and later went to work for Employers Insurance of Texas in Dallas, TX as the District Secretary and then transferred to the Houston, TX office. She decided she wanted to change professions and went to work as the Legal Secretary to Ray T. Fortenbach Attorney at Law 1979-1992. When Fortenbach retired, she went to work as a Legal Secretary to Richard Melamed Attorney at Law 1992-2001, until her retirement. Agnes leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her husband of 43 years, Charles Ellisor, her daughter Kimberly DeVore and husband Curtis, daughter Kathy Ahlschlager and husband Dean, son Mark Ellisor and wife Julie, son Terry Ellisor, step-children Charity Brook and husband Edward "Butch", Stephen Christly and wife Annie, 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and siblings, Dorothy Kirksey, Dolores Kubecka, Frank Kubecka, Janie Beals, John Kubecka and wife Marylyn. She is also survived by an abundance, cousins, nephew, nieces, and many friends.
Agnes’s charismatic spirit, magnetic smile, and sparkle in her eyes, always unveiled her sincere love and compassion for all. She was an extremely devoted, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother and friend above anything else. Through the years she enjoyed singing, camping, bowling, softball, and any outdoor activity. The legacy Agnes has left behind is one that can truly only be described as divine. Her faith guided her throughout her life’s journeys. She praised God for the opportunities she was given, and always passed any blessings along to those who may have needed them more than herself.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039 interment will follow service. Fellowship reception will follow the services and will be held at her son Mark Ellisor’s residence
