June 7, 1923 ~ April 21, 2020 (age 96)
Margaret “Peg” Enoch, 96, of Brilliant, OH, passed away Tuesday April 21, 2020 at Gables Care Center in Hopedale with her daughter by her side.
She was born June 7, 1923 in Fishertown, PA, a daughter of the late Enos Eli Blackburn, Sr. and Garnett (Barr) Blackburn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Enoch; a son, Joseph Eli “Joe” Enoch; two brothers, Enos Eli Blackburn, Jr. and Jason “Jim” Blackburn; and three sisters, Grace Kindel, Amy Edwards and Louise Blackburn.
Peg graduated from Earlham College with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and was retired from the former Brilliant High School where she taught Home Economics and Physical Education. She was an active member of the Brilliant Presbyterian Church, teaching Sunday School for many years and she was an Elder, Deacon and head of the Womens Service Committee. She played the piano and was a member of the Brilliant Fire Department Auxiliary. Peg sewed clothing for Tender Loving Care Children Ministries and has made over 1,000 dresses, boys outfits and crochet purses.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda (Tom) Moore of Brilliant, OH; six grandchildren, Kyle (Rebecca) Moore, Shannon (Bill) Davis, Lance (Heather) Moore, Darren (Jayme) Moore, Allison (Steve) Cornelius, and Kent (Erin) Moore; eighteen great-grandchildren, Naomi, Malachi, Simeon and Miriam Moore, Willa, Griffin and Campbell Davis, Parker and Wyatt Moore, Britnay and Wilson Vazquez-Velazquez, Harper and Landis Moore, Stella and Trenton Cornelius and Elliott, Jude and Violet Moore.
Due to the Covid19 pandemic, visitation was private with burial at New Alexandria Cemetery. There will be a memorial service announced at a later date.
