Prior to retiring in 1970, Mr. Bardo owned and operated Bardo's Motel, Route 9, Fishkill. He was a concert violinist and had his own orchestra. He studied at the Juilliard School of Music.
He played for eight years with George Olsen's Orchestra. Mr. Bardo later organized orchestras for other leaders. In 1938, he organized his own orchestra, and played with it until September 9, 1953. They appeared in hotels, clubs and casinos from coast to coast.
A local resident of Fishkill for the last 25 years of his life, he had made his home in Beaver Falls. He was a life-member of the Lowville Lodge, and an honorary member of the Protection Engine Company. He was also a member of the Fishkill Rotary Club.
He married Alice K. Jensen and they had one son, Lynn Bardo, who predeceased him in 1959.
