A local resident of Fishkill for the last 25 years of his life, he had made his home in Beaver Falls. He was a life-member of the Lowville Lodge, and an honorary member of the Protection Engine Company. He was also a member of the Fishkill Rotary Club.
He married Alice K. Jensen and they had one son, Lynn Bardo, who predeceased him in 1959.
