Emma C. Pletcher, 95, of Howard, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999 in Centre Crest Nursing Home, Bellefonte. For the past 20 years, she resided at the home of her grandson and wife, Glenn ‘Chip' and Corrine McWilliams in Howard. Born Oct. 23, 1903 in Tyrone, she was the daughter of the late Elmer F. and Ida M. McCaulley Rollman. She was a 1922 graduate of Tyrone High School. She and Joseph D. Pletcher were married Nov. 20, 1922. He preceded her in death Feb. 17, 1976. After 23 years of service, she retired in 1972 from Woolrich Woolen Mill. She was also an employees representative for five years. She was a member of the Woolrich Retirees Association. A member of the First United Methodist Church, Howard, she was a charter member of the United Methodist Women and a member of the Sunshine Circle Sunday school class. Mrs. Pletcher was also a 52-year member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union. Survivors include two sisters, Helen Deppen of York and Anne Carper of Spruce Creek; two grandsons, Chip of Howard and Keith McWilliams of Zion; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Glenn L. McWilliams Sr., on April 7, 1998; a brother, Jack Rollman; and a sister, Sarah Visk."

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the W. Robert Neff Funeral Home, 837 Main St., Howard, for Emma C. Pletcher, 95, of Howard, who died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999 in Centre Crest Nursing Home, Bellefonte. The Rev. Stevan Atanasoff will officiate. Burial will be in Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Main Street United Methodist Church, Main Street, Howard, Pa. 16841. W. Robert Neff Funeral Home, Howard.
