Peggy Jean Roberts Crauswell was the daughter of Dora Ellen (Caudle) Roberts and William Martin Roberts. She was next to the youngest of 9 children. Peggy married Clayton Leon Crauswell Sr. on December 18, 1948. They had six children together. Leon, Ellen, Bruce, Richard, Faye and David. She was preceded in death by all of her siblings. She is buried here beside her husband Clayton.

Peggy retired from Carraway Hospital as an RN in 1998. Also, Peggy was an avid Christian Woman and one of the best Bible teachers.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Will and Dora Roberts; husband, Clayton L Crauswell, Sr.; granddaughter, Laura Uptain; grandson, John Martin Crauswell; five sisters and two brothers.
She is survived her children, Leon Crauswell (Kathy), Ellen Lay (Wayne), Bruce Crauswell (Diane), Faye Uptain (Troy), Richard Crauswell, and David Crauswell (Tammy). Peggy considered herself a wealthy woman as she considers her grand’s. There are 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Due to the State mandates, the viewing and funeral will be kept to immediate family, so sorry because Peggy had many, many family and friends and all will miss her deeply.
