Mrs. Mable Pauline Jones, 89, of Reeds, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 15. 2020 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.
Mable entered this life on January 25, 1931 in rural Barton County, Missouri to the union of the late James Franklin and Cora Opal (Hayward) McCulley. On November 3, 1944 she was united in marriage to Melvin A. Jones. Together they shared fifty-six wonderful years until his passing on October 17, 2001. She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved her family dearly. For sixty-two years she put children on the bus as well as greeted them when they returned home, always having m a snack ready for them. She attended Dudman Springs Church. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, fishing and whittling. She will truly be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Jessie Jones and Jimmie Jones; great-great grandson, Nicholas Ramsey; seven sisters; three brothers; and son-in-law, Lenny White.
Mable is survived by her children, Elizabeth Ramsey, of Joplin, Susan White, of Carthage and Esther Heller (Richard), of Sarcoxie; grandchildren, Holly Ellis (Mike), Janetta Henry (Samuel), Madonna Curato, Tracy Lluvera, William Ramsey (Cindy), Christopher Ramsey, Adam Jones (Kim), Jason Jones (Heather), Jennifer Korth (Devon), Jessica Smith and Tara Catron (Christopher); fourteen great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brother Earl McCulley (Susie); and daughter-in-law, Debbie Jones; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Private graveside services are 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Dudman Cemetery with Chaplin Roger Flint officiating. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers are Tara Catron, Chris Catron, Tony Bradley, Richard Heller, Chase Smith and Jessica Smith.
