"I know that we will be together, like so many friends we've lost along the way. And I know that eventually we'll be together some sweet day. Sorry, I never told you all that I wanted to say, but you will be in my heart forever." -Jan's words, inspired by the song "One Sweet Day" by Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men

A Time To Be Born: Janet Cheryl Lovett Howard was born on March 19, 1949 to Julius and Elizabeth Lovett in Newark, NJ. Janet (lovingly referred to as Jan) was then raised in Montclair, NJ from the age of five. At that same age, she became a big sister to Kenneth Lovett.

A Time to Labor: Jan first worked at Bowling Green State University. She then worked at the University of Tennessee - Knoxville until she retired in 2000.

A Time For Rest and Relaxation: Jan loved to bowl and to shop for bargains. She also loved to take cruises and spend time with family and friends.
