As was feared, miss Nettie Peterson succumbed on Saturday afternoon to pneumonia, following influenza which she contracted while teaching in the O.S.A. at Preston. Funeral services are to be held tomorrow Tues. in the Logan cemetery. The remains may be viewed at the family residence tomorrow from 11 o’clock a.m. until 1:30 p.m. At 1:45, the funeral cortege will leave the home from the cemetery where funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock p.m.

Funeral Held for Miss Nettie Peterson

Funeral services were held at the Logan cemetery Tuesday afternoon over the remains of Miss Nettie Peterson, daught5er of Mrs and Mrs Andreas Peterson of this city. Services were opened with a solo by Prof C.R. Johnson and a mixed quartette who sang “Jesus Lover of My Soul”. The opening prayer was offered by Bishop B. G. Thatcher, President O.H. Budge spoke in the highest terms of the character possessed by the deceased. He had known her during her girlhood and school days, and had found her to be very sincere in her work, while she journeyed through life. James A. McMurrin sang “Oh Dry Those Tears”, with cello accompaniment by Elroy Christensen.

Elder Carl E Peterson, of Salt Lake, an uncle of the deceased, spoke upon the continuation of life beyond the grave and the assurance the righteous have of a glorious resurrection.
Mr. Lowery Nelson spoke of the fine character and many accomplishments of Miss Peterson while she was a student of the U.A.C.

Miss Ney Neen Farrell sang “Oh My Father” with cell accompaniment by Elroy Christensen.

Bishop George Lindquist made a few closing remarks and thanked all present for the kindness they had shown during the illness and following the death of the deceased.

Elder John O. Peterson dedicated the grave and the benediction was prounounced by Elder O.W. Adams.
