Roberta Faye Jones, 73, of Cordova, TN passed away April 7th, 2020.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Burrette Gentry and Mildred Billingsley.
Roberta is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 56 years, DeWayne Jones; her children, Stacy McCommon; Michael Jones (Kerry); grandchildren, Nicole Moore (Kurt), Natalie McCommon, Avery Jones; and her siblings, Keland Gentry (Lynn), and Beauton Campbell.
Roberta came to know Jesus as her Lord and Savior in 1978, when an evangelism outreach group from Bellevue Baptist Church visited their home. She has been a faithful member of Bellevue ever since and loved serving the Lord throughout the church, but especially in the banner, costume, and children’s music ministries. She was a true Proverbs 31 wife, who in addition to being an excellent homemaker, helped her husband in running their business, Scott Street Tomato House, for nearly 50 years. Roberta loved hostessing and welcoming people into her home, and especially loved spending time with her family. She was a most devoted “Grandmomma” who never missed a recital, ball game, or chance to take her girls shopping.

Box 2257, Cordova, TN 38088-2257) a ministry in which Roberta passionately served that ministers to young women by studying the Bible with them and teaching them the “secrets” to Christ-like home management and hospitality, or to Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, P.O. Box 2350 Cordova, TN 38088-2350.
