She was born in Calamine, Arkansas, and grew up near Naylor, Missouri. She graduated from Anderson College in 1954. She taught school for several years, including five years at Fall Creek Heights. She stopped teaching to raise her children.
She was a doll collector and owned and operated Abby's Antiques and Collectibles shop on Meridian Street for 22 years. She truly believed "We are all God's Children."
She is survived by her husband of 62 1/2 years, Bill; sons, Will and Michael; daughters, Lisa and Tanisha; grandson, Noah; BFF Kelsey, and several nieces and nephews.
The family truly thanks the staff at Bethany Pointe.
A private family graveside service will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery.
