Mrs. Elizabeth Sampson, Former Bensenville Woman, died in Oregon
Funeral Services for Mrs. Elizabeth Sampson, 73, formerly of Bensenville, were held in the Little Chapel of the Chimes with burial at Rose City Cemetery both in Portland, Oregon.
Mrs. Sampson died March 4 at the home of her sister, Mrs. H. C. Winn and family in Portland. She had been bedfast for 13 months.
She leaves to mourn, her husband Guy; a step-daughter, Mrs. Virginia Gilbert; and a step son, Mr. Lyall E. Sampson of Chicago.
Mrs. Sampson was born August 12, 1875 at Richland Center, Wis. In 1902 she married a widower, Mike Niland of Wauzeka, Wis. He died in 1924 and April 4, 1932 she was married to Guy E. Sampson, a widower with two children. Mr. Sampson was at one time a reporter for the Paddock Publications.
After their marriage they resided in Bensenville until 1937, at which time Mr. Sampson retired and they moved to Portland, Oregon. They lived in that vicinity until 1943 when they moved to Southern California. In 1947 they moved north again for Mrs. Sampsons health.

In the above obit they refer to Mrs. Winn as Elizabeths sister. That was in error. Mrs. Winn is Edith Kate Sampson Winn-Guy E. Sampsons sister
