Private memorial service will be held later for Ernest W. "Bill" Duehning, who died Monday at a private care home. He was 89.

Born in Nebraska, he came to Spokane 75 years ago and had been a car salesman. He was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 52 years, Irene; two sons, Douglas A. Duehning of Seattle and Dennis Duehning of Aurora, Ill.; two daughters Mrs. Steven (Carlen) Fensler of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Kay Duehning of Spokane; two sisters; and 10 grandchildren.
