Nonnie Lunsford "Polly" Broach, 87, of 677 Broach Rd., died Friday, April 10, 2020. Born in Person County, Mrs. Broach was the daughter of the late Simeon and Thelma Lunsford and wife of the late Albert Broach. Mrs. Broach was a nurse at Person Memorial Hospital for 10 years and later Blue Cross and Blue Shield for 25 years. She was a member of Lea's Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Broach was an active member of the Bushy Fork Grange. For many years, she eagerly watched and supported her family's athletic, school and dance events. She will be remembered for her love of gardening, traveling, dancing and cooking, especially her strawberry cakes and chocolate pies. Rhonda, her only child was the love of her life and Ken was her "favorite" son-in-law. Mrs. Broach was instrumental in gathering her family for the holidays and showing her love to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Nathaniel Lunsford, Everette Lunsford, Maynard "Peck" Lunsford, Freddie L. Huff and Nancy Brann.

Mrs. Broach is survived by her daughter, Rhonda B. Stone and husband Ken, of Hurdle Mills; one sister, Agnes L. Morton, of Timberlake; three grandchildren, Ryan Stone and wife Paola, of Hurdle Mills, Emily Holcombe and husband Hamer, of Cary and Al Stone and wife Tabatha, of Hurdle Mills; six great-grandchildren, Camille Stone, Gigi Stone, Boman Holcombe, Stone Holcombe, A.J. Stone and Chloe Glenn.

Due to the Executive Order regarding the COVID-19, the attendance for the graveside will be limited to 50 people and will be held 2PM Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at Surl Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Heather Locklear. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at Brooks & White Funeral Home 9AM-5PM Monday.
