She was born on April 10, 1930 in Everett, PA; the daughter of Erma M. (Rohrer) and Ellis C. Hann of Clearville, PA. Elsie attended the Calhoun School of Clearville. She resided in Bedford, PA for the last 35 years preceding her death.
She worked at Lion Manufacturing in Everett, PA for many years until her retirement.
Elsie was a long time member of Clearcreek Brethren In Christ Church of Everett, PA where she served as a dedicated Sunday School Teacher for preschoolers for over 31 years.
She attended Bedford Church of the Brethren of Bedford, PA after moving to Bedford.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two Brothers Charles Hann and James Hann, and her two Sisters Leone Asper and Sarah Hann. She is survived by her two Sisters Betty Henry of Bedford, PA, Widow of Lester E. Henry and Alvera Smith of York, PA, wife of John Smith, and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements will be made by Akers Funeral Home, 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA. Burial will be private at Union Memorial Cemetery, Everett, PA. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that if people so desire, donations can be made in Elsie’s memory to Operation Blessing, 977 Centerville Turnpike, Virginia Beach, VA 23464-9902.
