Robert Archambault, 97, of Port Charlotte, FL, died March 27, 2020.

Robert was born October 8, 1922 in Waterbury, CT.

He graduated from Leavenworth High School and was an Eagle Scout. Robert worked as a toolmaker for some time in Leavenworth, and then entered the US Army Airforce. He earned the rank of Lieutenant in the Air Corps during WWII and also earned a Bronze Star. After his honorable discharge, Robert received a scholarship to study in France. He met Alice Katherine Dunphy of Buchanan and they were married on June 24, 1944 at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Phoenix, AZ. Robert studied at University of Colorado and attained a teaching degree. He taught at high schools in New York while Alice attended New York University School of Public Health Nursing. Robert was fluent in many languages and enjoyed classical music, traveling, woodworking, and studying the Bible. Alice passed away on March 19, 2008.

Robert is survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
