Frederick Franklin (Fred) Ford was born in Hokes Bluff, Alabama in 1897. He was a graduate of the Berry Schools and remained on after graduation as supervisor of the school laundry for many years. Ford was also very involved in campus activities, serving as both a deacon and Sunday school teacher at the College Chapel. He married a teacher at the schools, Elsie Andrews Ford, in 1928. Ford continued working at the Berry Schools until his retirement in 1962. He passed away in 1965 and is buried at the College Chapel Cemetery.
