He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed duck guiding. He worked for 35 years in the timber cutting business. He was a great dad and a loving grandfather.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; son Ralph Starks, Jr.; three brothers J.L., J.B., and Billy Ray Starks; two sisters Lois Mannis and Joyce Wheatley; and two granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife Virginia; six children Charlotte Douglas of DeWitt, Jimmy Starks of Plummerville, Vicky Starks of Crockett's Bluff, Tracy Weiner of Fayetteville, Chris Marcum of Eudora, and Samantha Starks of Fayetteville; three brothers Leon, Charles, and Stevie Starks; one sister Lynda Starks; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be a family graveside at Crockett's Bluff Cemetery.
