Aaron Kenneth Bjork was born May 14, 1998 in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended Southeast Polk High School through 10th grade, and graduated from Saydel High School in 2016.

Aaron loved to talk, always had a smile, and made friends easily. If someone was a stranger to him, it did not stay that way long. He would call his family every day to check in.

Aaron worked as an electrician for Vision Electric, and part-time with his dad at Iowa Home Pros.

Aaron loved the outdoors. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing baseball, jet skiing, fishing, and jet boating on the river.

Aaron passed away tragically due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Saturday, April 4, 2020.

He will be forever loved and missed by his mother, Kennette Brady; his father, Robert (Stacy) Bjork; his brothers, Nick Bjork, Dalton Timmons, and Devon Timmons; paternal grandmother, Curdonna Bjork; maternal grandfather, Kenneth Brady; aunts and uncles, Shawna (Pat) Astor, Pooh (Rick) Carr, Tammy (Karl) Webb, Kenneth Walte, and Dearld Walte; and many great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, countless friends and their families.

Aaron was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert F. Bjork; maternal grandmother, Sharon Brady; uncle, Eddie Walte; and cousin, Scotty Belcher.

There will be a public visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. All are welcome, but please be aware that due to Covid-19, Hamilton’s is adhering to the 10-person-or-less rule and will ask guest to rotate out of the funeral home to allow others to enter.

A private service for family will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2020 at the Hamilton’s Funeral Home. The service will be followed by a procession to Rising Sun Cemetery. Friends and extended family are welcome to participate in the procession, but please be aware that only immediate family will be allowed at the graveside for the committal service. Guests are welcome to stay in their cars at the cemetery. The family invites people to bring a balloon to release after the graveside service.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. All are welcome!

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Aaron.
