LAYTON - Steven John Bee, 68, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2012.

He was born August 21, 1943 in Soda Springs, Idaho the son of John Russell and Geneva Annie Larson Bee. Steve was raised in Georgetown, Idaho, "It's not the end of the world, but you can see it from there," settled in Layton and lived there 30 years.

He married Leslye Murphy on June 4, 1983 in Ogden, Utah.

Steve served an LDS Mission to England in 1963. He made his career in the grocery business where he worked for 40 years.

Steve loved spending time with his family. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He loved taking care of his yard, especially "Leslye''s" flowers. He loved camping at Bear Lake, sports, and Idaho; but most of all he loved Leslye.

Surviving are his wife Leslye; children: Robyn (Kent) Jacobsen, Layton; Natalie (Dave) Kovach, Farr West; Jesse (Nicole) Speth, Plain City; seven grandchildren: Russel, Tyrus, Presley, Addison, Boston, Nick, and Shay; brother, R. LaMont (Helen) Bee; sisters: Elaine (Bob) Kropushek, Barbara (Art) Brownell, "Fourth sister" Beverly Hoppe, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, brother Ross and sister Delores.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 6, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
