Billy Harold Flynn age 79 passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Billy was one of four children born to William (Bill) and Pauline Flynn in Hartman, Arkansas in 1935. He was a graduate of East Carbon High and attended Carbon College. He later moved to Moab, Utah in November of 1956. He left Moab and moved and worked Atlas Minerals. The family moved to Salt Lake City and then to Missouri. He started working for Barrick Goldstrike where he was Maintenance Superintendent in Elko, Nevada before retiring. Billy served on active duty in the Navy from October 1952 to August 1956 with an honorable discharge. He is a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church.
Bill is survived by: his wife Bonnie Flynn, they celebrated 58 years of marriage, his son Billy Randal (Randy) of Elko, his daughter Sherlyn (Sherry) Ranae Flynn of Herriman, Utah, his brothers Donald Wayne Flynn and Robert Earl Flynn both of Moab, Utah, his sister Brenda Kay Crenshaw-Troglin of Oakdale, California. His grandchildren are Christopher Peterson, Billy Flynn, Ryan Flynn, Tavish Soles, and Fletcher Bell. His great grandchildren are Jace Flynn, Lynsey Flynn, Henry Peterson, and Hendrix Peterson. He also has numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of his life on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Spring Creek Baptist Church at 368 Spring Creek Parkway, Spring Creek, NV.
