W.D. Acrey, 71, 3404 Johnson street, died at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at his home following an illness of six months duration.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the Salem-Kinser Methodist Church, with the pastor, Rev. Neyland Hester and T.S. Teddlie, Johnson Street Church of Christ minister, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park cemetery.

Arrangements are in charge of James-Coker-Peters.

William Donald Acrey was born on March 8, 1879 at Henderson, Texas, the son of Wesley and Deborah Acrey. He was married to Mary Lou Chandler on November 11, 1929 at Wichita Falls and for many years they had made their home in Greenville. He was a member of the Methodist Church and the Wichita Falls Masonic lodge. He attended the Men's Bible calls of the Central Christian church regularly until he was stricken ill several months ago.

Surviving are his widow, a step daughter, Mrs. R.O. McGray, Austin; three sisters, Mrs. J.M. Roberson, Seymour; Mrs. Myrtle Dozier, Electra; and Mrs. Dora Stone, Zaurella.

Burial will be in Forest Park cemetery.
