Alton B. Harwell of Lubbock died Saturday in Lubbock. He was formerly of Hunt County. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Forest Park Cemetery with the Rev. Leonard Mansen officiating.
He was born Jan. 18, 1904, the son of Sam and Sarah Brown Harwell. In 1958 he was married in Corpus Christi to Evalyn Baker Meeks. He was a retired cotton merchant and farmer and a member of the Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of Lubbock; one brother, Sam Harwell of Lubbock. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters.
