Flora was born in Arkansas to Robert James Barnett and Ardenia Elizabeth Bowden Barnett. She married Francis Chester George on December 24, 1905, in Pope County, Arkansas. She died in North Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, at the age of 97 years, 4 months, 19 days (per Kathy Nance)

Apparently, she and Mr. George divorced. She remarried W. W. Lemley in 1926, and they divorced 28 February 1927 in Pope County, Arkansas.
