Deceased Name: Graveline, Doris Ahola
Graveline Doris Ahola (1916-2010) Passed away November 6. She was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula's Ironwood-Bessemer area, where she developed a love for music and sports, becoming a top-notch golfer and bowler. She was also a master bridge player. Doris moved to Detroit during the Great Depression to work for Chrysler Motors. She wed Merton Clark Graveline (1913-58) and is survived by four children, Carol (Mrs. Ben) Hylkema, Janet (Mrs. Christian) Messenger, Jean (Mrs. Stephen) Jacobi and Gordon Graveline; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and sister Arlene. A memorial is set for 11 a.m. today at the chapel at Henry Ford Village, 15101 Ford Rd, Dearborn. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Assn.
