Bronson, Sept 5.- After a painful illness of several weeks, Rev W F Norton, a well known member of the Florida conference, died at the residence of his son-in-law S L Bean, at 2am yesterday. The announcement of his death will be received with profound sorrow throughout the state.
Mr Norton was 66 years of age, a man of high character and many noble, Christian qualities, having served as a member of the conference for many years and only gave up the work on account of failing health. As a pastor he was beloved by all.
The funeral services were conducted by Rev R M Williams, from the Methodist church, and were largely attended. The floral offerings were beautiful.
Mr Norton is survived by a wife, three daughters: Mrs S L Bean, Mrs J R W---and Mrs E K Whidden, and three sons: Rev W C Norton, Rev Marvin Norton and W Norton Jr.1900 Bronson Levy CO, FL Census
