Mrs. Willa Dean Adkins Eller, age 78, of Lenoir, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019 at College Pines Health and Rehabilitation Center in Valdese.

She was born in Burke County on November 7, 1940 to the late Lankford and Mae Lambert Adkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Kay Allen and one brother, Ray Adkins.

Mrs. Eller was a member of North Cross Church in Morganton. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to do many different craft projects. She enjoyed sewing and making quilts. She spent a lot of time volunteering for the Gamewell Community and also as a guardian el litem.

Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, David Eller of the home; one son, Darren A. Eller and significant other Kelly Hayes of Lenoir; one daughter, Jan Walker and husband Bill of Florida; one sister, Karen Crunkleton of Lenoir; one brother, Gary Lambert and wife Kay of Hudson; two grandchildren, John Walker and Cassie Berger and husband Tyler; two great-grandchildren, Preston and Penelope Berger.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Greer-McElveen Chapel conducted by Pastor Charlie Crump and Pastor Brian Smith. Interment will immediately follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully request that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202 or to the North Cross Church, 3297 Hwy18 N/US 64, Morganton, NC 28655.
