Christa Adelheid Capodanno (nee Herda), of Larchmont, died peacefully in her sleep on June 2, 2013 at age 83. She was born in Striegelmuehle, Germany in 1929 to the late Heinrich and Hedwig (Machner) Herda. She grew up in Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1957. She married Gaetano "Bill" Capodanno in January 1967 at St's John & Paul RC Church. A devoted homemaker, she had a passion for cooking and enjoying classical music. She is survived by her loving husband, Gaetano "Bill" Capodanno, cherished children, Andrea Capodanno and Angela Barbella (John), beloved grandchildren, Joseph and Timothy Barbella, dear siblings, Heinrich Herda (Treuhild) and Monika Lindner (Volker) and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her older brother Georg and nephew Jan. Visitation Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9pm at COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME 767 E.Boston Post Rd Mamaroneck. 914-698-5968.
