Patricia Joan Fromm was born on December 1, 1932, in Dalton, Missouri, the daughter of Henry August Fromm and Beulah Pearl (Ward) Fromm.

Pat was the Homecoming Queen at Brunswick High School in Brunswick, Missouri, and graduated in the Class of 1950. On May 26, 1951, she married Denzil Austin Meyer at the Brunswick United Methodist Church. They were blessed with 2 children, Jeffrey Austin and Victoria Joan.


She worked as a deputy clerk at the Chariton County Courthouse and as a bookkeeper at Wooldridge Tax Service. She was employed as a teller for County Bank in Brunswick for over 40 years, up until April 2019.


Pat was a member of the Brunswick United Methodist Church, a member of Sigma Phi Gamma, and a Cub Scout den mother. She was a Pecan Festival committee member, the pie contest chairman, and the Pecan Festival Grand Marshall in 2009.


One of Pat's favorite pastimes was playing music. She played the organ every Sunday at church and the piano for the afterschool program "Joyful Noise," which was held at the church. She was a member of the singing group "True Harmony," a member of the Brunswick Community Choir Cantata, and played the piano at the Brunswick Nursing Home at least once a month.


Pat loved playing cards, reading, and dancing; but, most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.


Patricia Joan Meyer, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.


She is survived by her 2 children: Jeffrey Austin "Jeff" Meyer and Victoria Joan "Vicki" Breshears, both of Brunswick; 4 grandchildren: Aubrey (James) Samek, Brunswick; Brandon Breshears, Brunswick; Brittany Meyer (Paul Antonio), Union, Missouri; and Tyler (Lindy) Breshears, Dalton, Missouri; 3 great-grandchildren: Maggie Samek, Mason Samek, and Westen Breshears; 2 brothers and their wives: Donald (Patsy) Fromm, Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri; and Robert (Sue) Fromm, Kerrville, Texas; her running buddy and sister-in-law Patsy Allen of Brunswick, and by several nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Denzil Austin Meyer; 4 siblings and their spouses: George Richard (Mary) Fromm, Dr. William Wayne "Bill" (Sue) Fromm, Kathryn Ruth (Estin) Riley, and Helen Laverne (George) Carson; brother-in-law Jack Allen; son-in-law, Larry Earl Breshears; and niece, Trudy Barton.


Arrangements were by and Visitation was on Sunday, November 24, from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Breshears Memorial Chapel in Brunswick. Funeral Services were held there on November 25, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Jan Schnepf officiating. Pallbearers were Tyler Breshears, James Samek, Jeff Brand, Paul Antonio, Jan Casebolt, and Rodger Lewellen.

Music was provided by Tony Greek, vocalist; Scott Fromm, saxophone; and Rodger Lewellen, keyboard. Interment followed in Elliott Grove Cemetery in Brunswick, Missouri.


Memorial donations were requested to the Brunswick United Methodist Church or the Brunswick Pecan Festival, c/o Breshears Memorial Chapel, 207 W. Broadway, Brunswick, MO, 65236.
