Mary Lu Ross, 101, of Sarasota passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on October 30, 1912 in Mary Lu Ross, 101, of Sarasota passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on October 30, 1912 in Oshkosh, Nebraska to the late Oscar and Goldie Matson.

Survivors include her two sons, Skip Ross (Susan) and Dick Ross (Carolyn); 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and a circle of friends.

As a young married couple she and her husband, Wallace traveled extensively through the Mid-West in evangelistic meetings and founded several dozen churches. Early on, Mary Lu became an independent business woman; investing years of her life in advertising sales. She was an accomplished soloist and in later years became a singles ministry leader. She was an exemplary mother fashioned by Proverbs 31.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 19, from 7-8 PM. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 10 AM both at Palms-Robarts Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
