JEANERETTE - Services for Arthur "Spirit" M. Weber Jr., 89, will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at David and Landry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Theo Landry officiating. Entombment will be in the St. John Mausoleum.

Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. today with a 6:30 p.m. rosary at the funeral home, which will reopen at 8 a.m. Friday until the time of services.

A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Weber died at 6:18 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 1997, at Iberia Medical Center.

He was a retired assistant engineer for St. Mary Sugar Co-Op with 25 years of service and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Mr. Weber is survived by his wife, Louise Louviere Weber of Jeanerette; one son, Morris A. Weber of Jeanerette; two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Gail) Daigle and Mrs. Fritz (Elaine) Foco, both of Jeanerette; one sister, Mrs. Russell (Lee) Linzsey of St. Amant; six grandsons, Lance Weber of Jeanerette, Lenny Weber of Marianna, Fla., Craig Daigle of Houston, Lynn Foco of Jeanerette, Steve Foco of New Iberia and Hans O. Weber of Maurice; five granddaughters, Mrs. Mark (Lisa) Hebert, Mrs. Ricky (Beth) Dooley, Mrs. Heath (Stacey) Landry and Mrs. C.J. (Annette) Hebert, all of Jeanerette and Mrs. Courtney (Kitty) Frioux of New Iberia; and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Weber Sr.; his mother, Zulma Hutchinson Weber; one son, R. Wayne Weber; and three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Robicheaux, Mrs. Leaman (Evelyn) Faircloth and Mrs. Roy (Helen) Seamons.

Pallbearers will be Craig Daigle, Lance Weber, Lenny Weber, Hans O. Weber, Lynn Foco and Steve Foco.

Honorary pallbearers will be Fritz Foco and Whitie Daigle.

The David and Landry Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.
