Mrs. Mary Guthrie, age 79, died Saturday, Nov. 22, 1952 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Monroe Bearden, in Larkinsville.
She was buried in Preston cemetery with Rev. Pat Guinn conducting the funeral service at the graveside.. The Powell kuar-tet was in charge of the singing.
Surviving this good woman are two children, Mrs. Monroe Bearden, Larkinsville, a son, Ossie Guthrie, Sand, Texas; five grandchildren, Mrs. Nell Matthews, Rossville, Ga., Junior Bearden, Guntersville, Joe Wheeler Bearden, overseas, Mrs. Sue Evans, Scottsboro, Ray Bearden, Larkinsville. Also two great-grandchildren, Billy Joe Matthews and Linda Gutherie.
