"Joseph A. "Joe" Adams, 58, 2190 W. Stone Bluff Rd., Covington, died at 10:10 p.m. July 12, 1996 in his residence. He was born Aug. 18, 1937 at Crawfordsville, the son of Joseph A. and Alice Reason Adams. He married Diana Biggs, who survives.

He had been a resident of Covington since 1958 and a former resident of Crawfordsville. He was a graduate of Crawfordsville High School in 1955. He was a veteran of the Navy. He was a finishing coordinator for 27 years at Olin and Flexel, Covington. He was an advisor with Junior Achievement for many years and coached in the Covington Little League for several years.

Surviving, besides his wife, are: two sons, Kirk (Marlene) Adams, Boulder, Colo. and Michael Adams, Covington; a daughter, Stacy Jo (Eric) Guyer, Covington; three sisters, LaVerne (Don) Martin, Vera Francis and Mary Evelyn Foxworthy, all of Crawfordsville; a brother, Robert Michaels, Port Saint Lucie, Fla.; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday at Shelby Funeral Home, Covington, with Loren Stephens officiating. Burial with military services was in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Covington." – Fountain County Neighbor, July 16, 1996
