Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jeremy Butt, Mike Kesler, and Randy Owens officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Born April 17, 1925 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late Gus Nepoleon Rieves and the late Eula Elizabeth Caskey Rieves. In April of 1946, she married Cecil Moore Duncan who preceded her in death on April 4, 2018. Mrs. Duncan worked as a Horticulturalist for Walmart for many years and was a part of the Maury County Home Demonstration Club. She was a longtime member of West 7th Street Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathie Parks of Franklin, TN; son, Tommy (Carolyn) Duncan of Columbia, TN; granddaughters, Angie (Paul) Carpenter of Denver, North Carolina and Priscilla (Carl) Ingrum of Columbia, TN; great granddaughter, Madison Ingrum; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 11 siblings, Bonnie Dillehay, Kate Woody, Bee Rieves, Mamie Chappell, Annie Rieves, Rena Brown, Christine Cavendar Woods, Thomas Rieves, Elizabeth Lib White, Nanny Austin, and Douglas Rieves.
