Dakota Wayne Yancey of South Boston, VA passed away March 16, 2020. He was born in Halifax County, VA on July 7, 2000 and was 19 years of age. He was the son of Wendel Scott Yancey and Melissa Ann Thomas.

He attended South Boston Church of God. Dakota loved hunting, fishing, chillaxin, and his family. His motto was “Family over everything” and would give you the shirt off his back. Dakota’s favorite Bible verse was Philippians 4:13 (NRSV) “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.”
