William J. Brown
William J. (Bill) Brown, 78, died Friday afternoon in a local hospital.
He was born March 24, 1894, in Mountain Valley and was a life resident of Garland County.
Mr. Brown was a Protestant and a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include four sons, Gene Brown of Hot Springs, Leo E. Brown of Sacramento, California, Milton J. Brown of Jacksonville, Florida, and Clarence Brown of Mexico; two brothers, Charles J. Brown of Hot Springs and John W. Brown of Mountain Valley; one half-brother, Robert Ford of California; and two grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the Mountain Valley Baptist Church.
Rev. Joe Anderson will officiate.
Burial will be in Mountain Valley Cemetery by Caruth Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Melvin Adams, Madison Duklee, Loyd Douphit, Jesse Simpson, Watson Crutchfield, and Paul Cockman Jr. [from the Sentinel-Record, Hot Springs, Arkansas]
