DOVER — Louise A. Alexander of Dover died Friday, Jan. 10, 2008, in Bay health-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 79.
Born Blaney, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Chester Addison and Nellie Motley Addison.
Mrs. Alexander graduated from the Brewster School of Nursing in Jacksonville, Fla., and earned a master's degree from Queens College, New York.
She lived in St. Albans, Queens, N.Y., and worked for the Kings Highway Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y., retiring in 1997 from Beth Israel Hospital, Brooklyn, as an OR manager after 35 years.
In 2004, Mrs. Alexander and her husband moved to Wild Meadows in Dover.
She is survived by her husband, Linwood L. Alexander of Dover; one son, Marc Alexander of Los Angeles; two grandchildren, Daniel Alexander and Gabrielle Alexander, both of Los Angeles; a brother, Henry Addison of Germany; and three sisters, Lucy Reese of Brooklyn, Ola Bailey of Queens and Theresa Hanton of Charleston, S.C.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover, where friends may call one hour prior.
Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
