Paul, son of John Hamblin, and a grandson of Samuel Hamblin, died of scarlet fever at his home in Turtle Creek near Pittsburg (sic), Thursday, February 5, aged 12 years (sic). The funeral owing to the nature of the disease, was private. Two other children in the same family are ill with the same disease.
