Mrs. Sarah Jane Harper, widow of Amos Harper, and owner of the Harper truck farm at Vail, Snyder township, since the death of her husband on October 3, 1936, died at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Adams, 2054 Adams avenue, Tyrone, on Saturday afternoon at 3:45 o’clock following a four months illness with a complication of diseases.

Mrs. Harper was born July 8, 1868 in Clearfield county, the daughter of Richard and Mary Catherine (Shaw) Kyler. On February 2, 1890, she was united in marriage with Amos Dudley Harper.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. A. W. Adams, Tyrone, Mrs. A. C. Sigel, of Port Matilda, and one son, Melvin A. Harper, of Tyrone; also 16 grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Kyler, of Shawsville, and two sisters, Mrs. Walter Condon, of Shawsville, and Mrs. Harry Lotz, of Clearfield.

She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church at Shawsville, Pa.
