Obituary of Cecil Calvin Barnes Jr.

Cecil Calvin Barnes Jr, age 78, of Center Ridge, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020.

He was born on December 20, 1941 in Christine, Texas to the late Cecil Calvin Barnes Sr. and the late Dora Lucille Southerland Barnes.

He retired from VAL Watering Company and was a faithful member of the Grandview Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Judith Sue Bryant Barnes of Center Ridge; children Tina Barnes May, Darlene Barnes Gales, Elane Barnes, Calvin (Trish) Barnes of Center Ridge; Brother, Harrol (Karen) Barnes of Center Ridge. He has thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Marie Barnes, a grandson, Marcus Allen Shipp and son-in-law Danny Lee Gales.

Cecil loved the Lord. He loved going to church. He never missed a chance to tell his family how much he loved and appreciated them. He loved Christmas and Christmas songs, no matter what time of year. He enjoyed the summertime and being in the hayfield. He was a cattle farmer and a true cowboy. He is loved by so many, and will be so missed.

Friday March 13, 2020 , the Grandview Church of Christ where funeral services at 11 am.
